This is why I do not expect to see many changes tonight. I’ve read a few predicted line ups and there seems to be an urge to see the likes of Lucas Perez, Kieran Gibbs and the like and I understand the yearning to want to see something different, something new especially in the case of Lucas Perez but I get the feeling that Arsene feels he has something now. Our last two performances in the league will have Arsene giddy like a kid and he will want this group of players to continue to grow their relationships on the pitch. Plus of course the season is only a few weeks old, we haven’t really entered into two game a week territory just yet.

Imagine Robben running down the right cutting inside Monreal, poking it to Lewandowski who tries a first time shot which is saved by Ospina’s legs, Koscielny takes a swing at the ball to clear but it hits Muller and bounces around before Bellerin cleans up, playing it inside to Mustafi who plays it on to Xhaka, Xhaka passes in between Alonso and Vidal to Oxlade-Chamberlain who bursts past the outstretched leg of Thiago Alcântara. Sprinting up field, Ox plays it wide to Ozil who swings inside on his left and slides a ball into Welbeck who bursts into the box and cuts it back to Alexis who thumps it high past Neuer to make it 3-0

We did not manage to create many clear chances with our possession but that was largely because they defended much better than we did throughout the game. Mesut Özil was far from his best but 13 minutes from time he showed his quality with a lovely check back from the left of the box. Most players in the world are crossing that ball into the box but Özil does not need to cross the ball, he passes from all angles of the pitch and it was his pass that landed at Iwobi who lashed in a shot that Areola could only manage to push out to Alexis who came in late to scuff a shot off the turf and past the keeper.

Ramsey's running gave him the opportunity to get a goal and an assist to his name but in other matches the dice may fall on the wrong side, especially if Flamini continues to abandon his station. There was talk of Calum Chambers being brought into the side in between Flamini and Ramsey but I just don't see that happening, especially as he has not started in that position since our defeat at Southampton roughly 11 months ago. I think Arsène would rather go with the players he has put his faith in so far, players who have had at least a bit of a feel for the team

The Gunners are hoping to shake off the disappointment of the weekend with tonight's match against Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates. Only victory today will give us any hope of making the knock out rounds and that is assuming that Bayern Munich can do to Olympiacos what they have done to pretty much everyone else at the Allianz Arena.
The team sheets are out for the Bayern Munich vs Arsenal match. We've been dealt another blow as Laurent Koscielny misses the game with a hip injury. The knock does not seen serious as he takes his place on the Arsenal bench. That means that Gabriel comes back into the side in his place. The rest of the team is unchanged from the side that won 3-0 at Swansea at the weekend, so the rumours of Kieran Gibbs starting on the flank was a load of rubbish.
