A player who can pull out an amazing piece of skill which will open up 10 yards of space and then misplace his next pass from five yards away. You would get the odd article that was begging for a click. In his deeper position he gets plenty of the ball and his distribution is very good but I cannot help feel that watching Wilshere lay off a first time five yard pass back to Koscielny is a waste of his ability. Of course he will be pushed forward in the future and he is currently learning his trade but in certain games when our passing is not breaching the opposition enough (yes Newcastle match I am looking at you) I feel that Wilshere's drive forward from a more advanced position can help break down teams and open spaces that have been shut for long periods

I think Jack Wilshere could well be key figure in his first domestic game since we put Birmingham City to the sword. He will have his work cut out with the likes of Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan going in for 50-50's

Ramsey was taking huge strides last season and was visibly growing week by week, it will undoubtedly take Ramsey a little while before he is back to his best physically, mentally and sharpness err ally. When he does get to that level then it will be interesting to see which positions Ramsey and Wilshere end up on the pecking order ladder

Fabianski wasn't finished there as he denied Iliev's effort from point blank range in stoppage time. That save along with the penalty save made a big difference to the outcome of the game
