We have to go away from home and keep picking up victories even if we are not playing well, just as we did at Fulham. So Wolves is another must win game, even though it is not must win at all but it just makes it sound very important and Sky Sports sounding
A very good afternoon to you all once again, the week has well and truly flown by for me which is great because it means we get another chance to watch the boys strut their fancy stuff. It is quite amazing how supporters feel when the players are doing well and feeling confident, it clearly rubs off on the supporters, you approach games with excitement and anticipation but when the team are going through a rough patch as we found last season, the games make you worry, make you feel nervous and anxious. I am sure this also works the other way round, it would be foolish to believe that the players do not consciously or subconsciously feel the overall vibe of the crowd which then transmits to the players. After all we are all human, it is natural.
Well luckily for all we are doing the business on the pitch and we have to keep that going. There is little doubt about the quality in the squad but we have to wait and see if the players can add consistency to their curriculum vitae.
We have to go away from home and keep picking up victories even if we are not playing well, just as we did at Fulham. So Wolves is another must win game, even though it is not must win at all but it just makes it sound very important and Sky Sports sounding. Jokes aside, although very cliche teams that want to win the league need to go to places like Wolves and come away with three shiny points to put some pressure on Chelsea and Manchester United who play on half of a super Sunday. Did they forget to fiddle with the fixtures this year?
Anyhoo, Nicklas Bendtner and Gael Clichy will be unavailable for the trip to Molineux on Saturday but we already knew that didn’t we? You would guess that the team will not be much different to the one that ripped Koeman’s side apart (that sounds nice to say) although I am sure Sagna will come back but hey, the preview will be up tomorrow at some point.
No doubt that Robin will continue in attack on the weekend and I must say it felt slightly strange witnessing an Arsenal victory that did not include a Van Persie goal as we have all become accustomed to the Dutchman finding the net in recent weeks.
Robin is now top of Arsene’s rotating praise list which is no surprise considering Van Persie’s form
Arsene said:
“For me Robin is the best striker in the league at the moment, because he is a great link player, and that’s what I like first, We play a collective game so it’s very important that the target man in our team links well with our other players.
“I wouldn’t swap him for anyone. He knows how we play, we play together for four or five years now with all the team and everybody knows the movement of each other.”
High praise indeed but to be honest it is was you would expect. Robin is a great player but he needs to consistently hit the back of the net, hopefully with his ability and creativity around him he can continue his form.
okie dokie, pokie.
Back tomorrow.
