The injury curse haunts yet again

I think Andrey will be giving a chance from the start in the place of Vela, unless Arsene wants to rest Nasri as he has played a few games in a row lately

Good afternoon all,

Quick post today as my bucket of time has gone missing. I did have it somewhere. I’m sure I’ll find it again tomorrow though.

It is typical of our current situation that Eduardo finds himself back on the treatment table that has his body shape already moulded into it.

I feel awfully sorry for him, especially after such a successful comeback on Monday night. At least it is only for two weeks and not double that.

It is pretty normal that players suffer regular niggles after such a long term injury. Ask Abou Diaby, he will tell you the story around a campfire.

We will have to do without his firepower and his eye for goal over the Sundland-Roma period. We do have a certain Andrey Arshavin to come in. Wenger has indicated that he will be involved in the game in some capacity but as usual the boss is keeping his cards well and truly close to his chest in regards to the player starting the game or coming off the bench.

Wenger said:

“He will be involved, But I have not decided what I will do with him yet.”

“He is still working on preparation and he is not qualified for the (Champions League) game against Roma (on Tuesday) so we can give him another week of hard work,At the end of next week, that will be three weeks with us and one week with Zenit, that should be enough.”

I think Andrey will be giving a chance from the start in the place of Vela, unless Arsene wants to rest Nasri as he has played a few games in a row lately.

I expect Eboue to start against Roma to add some steel to the midfield along with Nasri on the other side.

I will talk more about the game before I leave for the game tomorrow. Right, I did say it was a brief entry today. So enjoy your funky Friday.

Back again tomorrow
