Who cares if Henry and Bergkamp haven’t had any experience in management they could probably click their fingers and fix all the horrible problems that Wenger has caused. At least we wouldn’t have to watch games like on Sunday jeez
My bones are creaking this afternoon, my foot is bruised and my back is somewhat hurting today. If I was an Arsenal player I would be out of action for 2-4 weeks which would increase to another 4 weeks after a few days.
I cannot recover after football as I used to in my teens, no wonder Wenger hands out one year contracts to the over thirties.
Speaking of fitness and players over thirties, a certain Sol Campbell is on his way back to the club, well not the club exactly, more like our training ground to gain some much needed fitness as he searches for a new club to pay him lots of sheckles.
Campbell said:
“I’ve spoken to Arsene, hopefully we can get everything right and speak to the right people and get a couple of the physio’s and fitness guys to help me and train. My overall fitness is OK. But something else might happen before then.”
What is it with our club letting all these players train with our squad. I think Sol should go and ask Daniel Levy if he could join the scummers training sessions. It would be funny just to see the hysterical reaction from their supporters.
I am now waiting for Campbell to return to Gunners stories from the press. Actually we could go back to 2004. Campbell signs back on a free, Wenger buys Patrick Vieira in January then Henry and Bergkamp replace the sacked Wenger for doing such an awful job of building the youngest most talented squad in Europe who should go on to dominate for years but the lack of patience trophies was just too much to stomach.
Who cares if Henry and Bergkamp haven’t had any experience in management they could probably click their fingers and fix all the horrible problems that Wenger has caused. At least we wouldn’t have to watch games like on Sunday jeez.
On a serious note, I hope that some of our former players can make a name for themselves in football management. Dennis Bergkamp has taken steps into that area at his former club Ajax and I wish him all the best. However, I do not quite understand the desire to appoint former players regardless of any proof that they can succeed in management. Playing football and building a successful team are two completely different things.
Much has been made of our defensive lapses over the weekend, about the lack of defensive cover from the midfield but I do not think it is a long term problem. We committed players forward as we were playing at home against a negative team. If we were playing one of the big sides then you can bet your bottom dollar that we would not leave ourselves as exposed as we were when David Dunn scored. Denilson has been missed in that regard, his knack of being in the right place at the right time has been missed. You can be sure that it would have been Denilson filling in for Sagna who was caught closing an opposition player down in the final third of the pitch.
Our squad is slowly getting back together, lets hope we can avoid any nasty problems after the International break because we have a certain quality performer back after the break.
Back again tomorrow.
