Walcott’s right to left runs will cause havoc this season and I just pray that the rest of his game will come together so he can produce consistency. Theo Walcott is very capable of scoring 20+ goals this season
Appologies for the last couple days missed, I have been suffering with a throat infection *cue groans* which has meant that I have stayed up much of the night coughing, so my mood the next day isn’t very positive to say the least. It appears to be getting better now *cue loud cheer*
Well thank the lord for that. The international week is over with, seriously it seems like it has gone on for three weeks, I haven’t even been able to think about the Blackburn game as I didn’t (and still do not quite) know the situation concerning injured players.
I suppose all today’s talk will be of a certain Theo Walcott and rightly so, it is no mean feat scoring a hat trick at International level, especially against a side that haven’t lost a competitive home match. Without sounding like a total doomer, I didn’t actually think Theo played that well. I like all Gooners who watched the match paid close attention to what he did during the 90 minutes and he was actually pretty quiet, especially in the early stages of the first half. I think I would have rather witnessed him score no goals but have a complete game. Running at the defenders and dictating the match from the right. Not that I am complaining, because goals breed confidence and his goals will make him think he can do it again on Saturday against Blackburn.
3 goals scoring chances, 3 goals. Are you sure he is an Arsenal player? Theo Walcott is a converted striker who is naturally a good finisher. So although you may not get the link up play of Cesc, Rosicky and Nasri what he does give you is an outlet. I have said this throughout the summer but Theo’s runs will be very important to us this year. I can imagine his third goal being scored quite often in the red and white of Arsenal during the season. Instead of Rooney pulling the ball down and passing the ball into the space, it will be Cesc or perhaps Nasri who drifts inside. Theo will become Arsenal’s third striker this season.

Theo’s performance has had plenty of response.
Wenger:
“That’s superb news, he did pretty well for England, But this means I’m going to have to offer him more money (laughs)!”
Capello:
“I decided to put Theo into the first XI because I saw the game against Andorra at the weekend and also how he was in training – and at this moment he is fantastic psychologically and physically.
“It is very dangerous for defenders against Walcott. At this moment, he is difficult to contain.
John Terry:
“He has been brilliant all week,”
“He has come out of his shell in this (the England) strip. In the Andorra game he was great in the first half.
“And he has come here and set the game alight, not only with his goals but with his work-rate for the team.
“He has given the manager a big problem now.”
Sami Nasri missed the French 2-1 victory over Serbia with a knee problem that he picked up prior to the game. Gael Clichy made his French debut in defence along with two of his Arsenal defensive teammates Sagna and Gallas. All three played 90 minutes for Les Blues. Former Gunner strike pair Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka scored the goals.
Cesc Fabregas only managed to get 17 minutes for Spain as they beat Armenia 4-0 which is a good thing for Arsenal but he must be pretty annoyed about the lack of minutes on the pitch. David Villa’s goals were very good, very clinical.
Bendtner scored for Denmark has they beat Portugal 3-2.
Robin Van Persie played for Holland in a 2-1 victory against Macedonia. Van Persie was booked in the 15th minute for unsporting behaviour. He was substituted on 69 minutes.
The rest, I do not know as yet, any comments would be helpful.
We can at long last look forward to the Blackburn game.
Have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.
Until tomorrow.
