But poor sweet Taylor got a blanket put over him with a hot water bottle along with a teddy bear to snuggle up to from the media. It made me sick. Ok, I think I better stop before steam comes out of my ears and I don’t think that is a good idea right now

Well howdy doodie to you,

I am still feeling rather happy and excited about the remainder of the season a couple of days after the impressive showing against Cardiff. It is difficult to remember the last time we played anywhere near that level of football.

I missed out on a MyVision yesterday due to the match review so I didn’t get a chance to talk about any of the other news that has been floating around.

Usmanov and his gang team have increased their stake to over 25% and I have come to the conclusion that it is now only a matter of time before the club ends up in his hands. It is a horrible thought, and I hoped that we could fight him off but I just think it is inevitable. To be honest I just try and forget all the board room stuff and hope that the best will happen for the club. I am pretty damn sure that Usmanov’s Red & White Holdings is not the best thing for the club but it is pretty much out of our hands.

The week has been about Eduardo so far and that is set to continue today. He has said that the fluffy, gentle gianty, big teddy bear Martin Taylor hasn’t apologised for his horrendous launch at Eduardo last season.

Eduardo said:

Some friends told me he was saying he’d spoken to me – but he never did. I’ve never met him, And someone at Arsenal received an email from him when I played for the reserves at Barnet a short while back and it said he was pleased I was playing again.

“I have received lots of mail from other people. I’ve had around 25,000 emails – from Croatia, Brazil and England – wishing me a speedy recovery and I’ve had letters by the sackful. But he’s never sent anything directly to me.”

And there I was thinking that the poor bloke was heart broken by it all and he had to be looked after by his club because the poor soul was so down about it, obviously not enough to apologize to Eduardo about.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to see the reaction from the media and pundits alike had it of been Emmanuel Eboue on Stevie G or Johnny T or perhaps Cashley C***. You can take the last one as myself not wanting to spell his name or you can insert another word, your preference.

There would have been riots going on up and down the country. Mark Lawrenson would have been in tears, Shearer would have been rushed to hospital. The tabloids would have had to increase the amount of employees due to the vast amount of staff being off from stress. and others spending time in mental homes.

But poor sweet Taylor got a blanket put over him with a hot water bottle along with a teddy bear to snuggle up to from the media. It made me sick. Ok, I think I better stop before steam comes out of my ears and I don’t think that is a good idea right now.

Arsene Wenger has spoken very highly of Manchester United’s current form.

Wenger said:

“We missed scoring the goals that we’re capable of recently, but are very consistent and promised ourselves that we’ll give everything until the end of the season. Manchester United look untouchable because they’re 12 points ahead and have a game tomorrow against Fulham they’ll certainly win. Their results are very consistent.

“They win 1–0 and you think during the game that they may drop a point or maybe more, but they always manage to find somewhere the resources to win the game. If they win their game in hand they’re 15 points in front, which means they need to lose five games. Say they lose one against us, then they still need to lose another four games. They haven’t lost four games all season yet, but we’ll try. I believe our basic target is to get into the Champions League.”

Admiration? or mind games? Perhaps a bit of both but like Arsene says, it may well be a little late to think of catching United. I was speaking to a Chelsea mate of mine last night about Manchester United and when you look at their squad it doesn’t make me feel that they are ahead of us, at least not that far ahead. They are going through an amazing run and mentally they are the toughest team out there these days but talent wise they do not leave me shaking in my boots. We have been punching with our wrong hand for much of this season but hopefully we can start the next campaign with two after a good pre season.

I am just looking forward to Saturday, I am currently wishing the days down so we can see Arshavin linking up with Robin and Nasri should be fun. Especially as I have just got my hands on a ticket for the game.

We should see Arshavin make his debut after having a few training sessions to get him closer to match fitness. Kolo Toure thinks that the Russian will need time to adapt but has been impressed with his work in training so far.

Toure said:

“People have to be patient with him, of course, It doesn’t matter where you go, you always need some time to adapt.

“If I have to play in Japan, for example, my body needs time to acclimatise; it’s how we are built. So we need to be patient and help him fit into the team.

“He’s only just started training with us, really, and I think that when he feels comfortable in the team we’ll see a great, great player.”

“I think he’s just the right type of player for Arsenal,” he said. “We can see that he’s really quick, intelligent, a good passer and can score goals. I think he’s definitely going to help us – from his first training session you could see what quality he has.”

I assumed that he would start the game but I am beginning to think that he will be eased in slowly, but having said that Wenger may feel that he is experienced enough to learn the league on the job as it were. I sure hope he starts the game. Carlos Vela would be a very good impact substitute.

Right, I am off.

Back again tomorrow
