There were rumours that the Russian would have to abandon his plan of draining cash out of the club helping the club

Good afternoon Gooners,

Quick post today, mainly as there is not much going on right now.

Firstly, what better place to start than our good old friend Alisher Usmanov. There were rumours that the Russian would have to abandon his plan of draining cash out of the club helping the club buy big expensive shiny new world class stars.

But unfortunatley Usamaov has “no intention” of selling his shares.

The Manchester United fan said:

“I’m in love with Arsenal. I have no intention of selling my stake,” Usmanov told The Guardian.

“That may be possible at some point in time when I know that Arsenal hates me. I will make sure this doesn’t happen. I have not lost one single share.

“As long as Arsene Wenger is manager that’s not going to happen.”

Awww isn’t that nice of him, I think he needs a cuddle and I can tell him that some sections of supporters (CMB’s) do not hate him, they would love him on board, so they could pretend that he will help the club spend money. I would like to clarify that I am as far away from those sections as possible.

Speaking of shiny new signings. Yaya Toure has been keeping his cards close to his chest about a possible departure from the Nou Camp.

“It is good to know there are big clubs interested in me. It is known that I have not played a lot for Barcelona so far this season.

“The coach rotates the midfield, and I am waiting for my chance. There are still plenty of games to play.

“The club is doing well, so we shall wait and see. I don’t know (about moving to another club). You never know.

“I will take my chance at Barca when handed it. I love Barcelona. It is the biggest club, but there are others as well.”

I was surprised about his comments in the summer about Arsene Wenger calling him to come to London. especially as he has had many chances to bring him in the past. Perhaps it was a choice between Diaby and Toure and he plumped for the Frenchman.

Robin Van Persie has joined up with the Dutch squad, so his injury couldn’t have been that serious. In a weird way I feel like a little disappointed. I love the talent of Van Persie but I just want to see Bendtner have a run in the side but that is for another time I guess.

Enjoy the day, lets hope we have something to talk about tomorrow.
