Wenger: Well, errr, Cesc I do not like these comments coming out of Barcelona about you. What’s popping err?
I wake up greeted with some lovely sounding news. Cesc Fabregas has been shouting from the roof tops that he can see himself staying at Arsenal for the rest of his career.
“When I first came to England my idea was to go back to Spain one day,” said Fabregas.
But the truth is that now I’m happier every day and I love London, the people and the club.
“I’m going to say the truth – every day I have more desire to stay here for a long time, for the rest of my career.
Now as wonderful as that sounds, and I don’t really like putting downers on things but I am not quite sure if I can believe what he is saying 100%
It seems to me that Arsene and Mr Fabregas have sat down and talked about all the comments that have been coming out of Barcelona. I can imagine the conversation sounding a bit like this..
Wenger: Well, errr, Cesc I do not like these comments coming out of Barcelona about you. What’s popping err?
Cesc: I would like to join them one day boss, I was born there and it is my home town
Wenger: Mentally.. it is not good for the spirit of the team to hear these rumours.
Cesc: ok guv, I’ll say that I will be here forever and when you step down as boss then I will be off
Maybe I am being a bit too negative but I have heard alot of bullshit from players over the years. Anyway, I am just going to appreciate his play every match I see in an Arsenal shirt and we will see what happens.
Almunia has been talking about the Reading game tonight and said that we are up for a ruck with anyone who steps our way.
“We are used to playing fantastic football, moving the ball and passing the ball. “At Reading, me maybe have to change a bit and be aggressive in our game.
“If we are defensively focused and can move the ball well and finish well, we will have no problem in getting a result tonight.”
It is clear that we have been more aggressive this season and it makes a big difference. I have always agreed with the saying that you have to fight for the right to play. As long as we can fight then we can always play better than the opposition.
The boys will be in an unusual position tonight. We are behind Manchester United in the table and have a little bit more pressure on us perhaps. Will the rest be a help or hindrance to our side? They haven’t played together since the Man Utd game. But I think we will have enough class to beat Reading tonight
Cesc and Hleb will pull the strings tonight and I predict a 2-0 win to the gooners.
