Like I have said previously it was never a question of him leaving before his contract. Wenger usually waits until the end of his contract before he negotiates a new one
So the response has arrived, it was expected but how he said it would be telling.
Wenger said:
“There’s nothing to worry about, it’s not an issue for me, I’m staying here. If that changes I will let you know, but don’t worry about that. It’s not an issue.”
Like I have said previously it was never a question of him leaving before his contract. Wenger usually waits until the end of his contract before he negotiates a new one. To be honest, I believe that the board already know when he is going to leave. I couldn’t imagine Arsene going behind the boards back to sort out his future elsewhere, he will probably let the club know when he wants to seek a new challenge or if he is to stay for the rest of his career. There is not much point talking about this because only a handful of people know what is going through our managers mind and the media are certainly not one of those few.
Emmanuel Adebayor’s agent has been talking to all that will listen to him.
Agent Stephane Courbis said:
“Now I have no clue about that (AC Milan rumour) For the moment, now is not the time to answer that. When the season will be finished we will see. But at the moment there is no answer I can give you and for the moment this is not the best time to speak about that.”
And there I was thinking that he had signed a new contract last season.
Midfielder Amaury Bischoff is considering his future at the club due to the lack of first team chances.
“What is certain is that I can do whatever I want because I am free in a few days. I will consider all proposals that are available to me.”
“What I want is to play every Saturday for my club. We’ll see what happens the next few weeks. But if I have to leave, it will not be a problem.”
It was always going to be difficult for him to get a starting position in the first team. He should be really be grateful to Arsene for putting him in the shop window. In fact he should hand Arsene 40% of his wages for the next 3 years, ok perhaps that is going a little far but you catch me drift don’t cha?
The last few days have really been on the quiet side and I feel that these posts are getting shorter and shorter as the days go on. Ah well, such is life.
Back tomorrow..perhaps.
