This Ramsey to Arsenal story has picked up a hell of a lot. Every newspaper, website, blog and fluffy animal seem to be convinced that he will join Arsene Wenger’s squad after he was impressed with what the Frenchman had to say.

According to the official Cardiff City website a statement read:

“Cardiff City were informed on Friday morning that Aaron Ramsey’s preferred destination this summer is at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal.

“We will now continue the dialogue with the Gunners with a view to Aaron’s move being completed.

“The move unlike other options however does not include a loan back period at Ninian Park for the 2008/09 season.”

If this is the case, which looks pretty likely then it just shows what a great man Arsene Wenger is. He has this way about him that makes you listen. He could be talking about the smell of one of his number 2’s and he can say it in a way which will make you listen to what he has to say.

Wenger’s speech obviously worked a treat. I wonder what it is exactly, I bet he pulls out stats about the players that they didn’t even know. Like ‘you wore a yellow sock on monday and that is not good for the colour balance in your left foot!’ Ferguson and Kenyon.. don’t try it!

We do not seem able to match the biggest teams for world class players in terms of wages and transfer fee, but we are probably the best in the world at attracting young talent to the club. We fought off a host of clubs for Walcott. Even Chelsea’s big money could not turn his head. Senderos was being chased by the likes of Real Madrid etc but he opted to join Wenger and Arsenal.

This is also a nice way to get at Fergie before the season starts. If the boy does sign then lets hope he will be as good as people say he will.

Would you be happy with Nasri, Ramsey and Zapata being our only signings this season? (I know Zapata is fantasy right now, but just go along with it for arguments sake please!)

Would that be enough to cover our holes from Flamini and probably Hleb?

A lot of you will disagree but I think that would be enough if you include the youngsters in the reserves taking another step up. The likes of Barazite, Traore etc could easily make a big impact.

Speaking of players making step up’s (That doesn’t even make sense) Congratulations to Alex Song in signing a new contract. I will be eternally sorry to that guy. He got some flack from me. That is probably why I am not so hard on Eboue because I know how players can progress. It will be interesting to see where Song ends up in the pecking order. It could be a fight to the death between him and big Phil.

France were a tad shit last night weren’t they? Nasri got just over 10 minutes to make an impact and although he looked tidy and technical he didn’t do enough to make that bit of difference needed in the final third. Well, that could be said for the whole team.

The Dutch looked very good though. I thought they would be the weakest out of the big three but it appears I was mistaken. Early doors and all that though, they can all beat each other I guess so anything can happen.

It is goodbye to Gary Lewin, who takes up a fulltime role for England. Full time doing what exactly? England do not doing anything for most of the year! Anyway it is a little sad because Lewin has always been a set up at the club in all the years I have been supporting my beloved club.

Apologies for those who are waiting for the Your Vision articles that you have sent in, they are currently on my laptop backed up but I haven’t had access to them for the last few days. I will however get access tomorrow or tonight so expect the one on the front of the queue to be up in the morning.

That is it for today, Enjoy the Spanish match tonight, hopefully Cesc gets 10 minutes and scores a hatrick to boost his confidence but saves his energy and his manager will put him back on the bench again *repeat until end of tournament*

Back Tomorrow for more Gooner waffle.
