I totally understand what Arsene means when he says that the most important thing is to keep the players together before thinking about transfer targets

Instead of talking about which players our manager has lined up to make us better the newspapers and websites are full of stories of our players leaving the club.

It sounds like Alex Hleb’s agent is trying to talk up a new contract for his client.

“I’m often approached about Hleb,” he is quoted in the Daily Express.

“I have nothing to hide; Alexander is a world-class player. Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona are interested in him. But there are no official offers.”

At the end of the day he is under contract so his agent shouldn’t really go spouting crap like that. Flamini is obviously a different situation.

Apparently Bayern Munich are interesting in signing him. I do not like the way this is going. It has gone on for to long now, he is no nearer to signing a deal. I just think he would be crazy to leave the club after his form. He will have to start again from scratch at another club.

IF Flamini did leave and IF Wenger let go of Hleb then it would be another season of transition and that is the last thing we need. We need forward steps, not backwards ones.
