Arsenal’s last title came in 2004, and while in most years the club remains in the top 4 despite their lack of spending during the transfer window, fans are dying for more results. To be honest, many clubs would be dying to consistently finish in the top 4 of the EPL, but once finishing in the top 4 becomes the norm, it is only natural for fans and players alike to set their goals for the next season just a bit higher. That is where fans frustration comes in with the teams dealings in the transfer window. Many people believe, fans and critics alike, that Arsenal could be fighting for the top spot with just a single impact player, two at most, as long as they were in key positions

With a promising young team that seems to be missing just a few pieces to the puzzle, club officials are claiming that Arsenal will be active in this summer’s transfer window. But how many times have Arsenal fans already heard this from Arsene Wenger? We all know that Wenger is an averse man when dealing with transfers, but what makes this upcoming transfer window any different?
While one cannot argue the young talent that Wenger has been able to identify and bring up through the club over the years, it remains a fact that basically every major club is spending more than Arsenal during every transfer window. And while this may not be a smart way of doing business, it usually does lead to an increase in the standings at the end of the season.
No matter what club officials say, I am willing to bet that Wenger would equip his players in womens soccer shoes before dropping top dollar on a transfer fee; Mesut Özil was a big shock transfer.
When will Arsenal win the Premier League Title again?

That is where fans frustration comes in with the teams dealings in the transfer window. Many people believe, fans and critics alike, that Arsenal could be fighting for the top spot with just a single impact player, two at most, as long as they were in key positions. There are not many clubs that are so close to contending, yet so far away due to the fact that Wenger simply will not pull the trigger in a large deal.
But seriously, when will Arsenal win the EPL?
If I had to take my best guess, it would be not this next year, but the following one, the 2015-2016 season. I have two main thoughts behind this reasoning.
First off, there is no way that Manchester United does not come out and try to buy everyone and anyone to right the ship after last year’s debacle of a season. They will pay top dollar for a coach, and then top dollar for any player they think might even help their team return to the top spot in the EPL. I simply cannot see Manchester United doing nothing this offseason, and because of this they have to be regarded as a serious bounce back contender for the upcoming season.
Lastly, I just do not think that Wenger will pull the trigger on any deal of significance this upcoming transfer window. Because of this, I think a few new young faces will emerge next season for the Gunners that will keep them finishing in the top 4 for the EPL. From there though, I do believe the following year a new face or two will emerge to provide the last push needed for Arsenal to truly contend. Their core players are under contract right now where in two years, if each season produces even just a single new standout player from within the organization, all the ducks could finally a line for the 2015-2016 EPL season.
Remember fans may not have to wait that long if Wenger pulls off a blockbuster deal this offseason. Then again, I think you would have a better chance seeing the Gunners run onto the pitch in pink women’s soccer shoes for the first match of the season, so who truly knows?
