Van Persie sat out on Tuesday and if 100% is 100% to start upfront. I would throw my neck on the line and suggest that Arsene will rest Adebayor with the Dane
Good morning Gooners,
Whey hey! Gooner football is here at long last. It seems like ages ago since we last played, or maybe it is because I suffer from serious withdrawal symptoms.
I am expecting an exciting game of passing football from both sides, West Ham have been inconsistent so far this season as always. I guess it is what you expect from West Ham every season. They have beaten us and Manchester United several times but they lost 3-1 to Bolton at home and 1-0 to Watford in the Kids cup.
ok, enough about them.
Our team is quite a difficult one to predict this time round. Partly because we have William Gallas and Kolo Toure both returning from injury and we do not know what sort of fitness and sharpness they have right now. After a big away victory in the Champions League we have a massive London derby to look forward to on Wednesday so you can expect a bit of Rafaing Ranering stuff from Arsene.
Van Persie sat out on Tuesday and if 100% is 100% to start upfront. I would throw my neck on the line and suggest that Arsene will rest Adebayor with the Dane taking his place unless Vela has been doing some crazy shit in training. Sorry, just writing from my head. Unless Vela has been showing some great form in training.
Bacary is still out injured so I would expect Eboue to continue there for continuity purposes but Djourou could also be an option in that position.
I haven’t got a clue what Arsene will do at center back, could be anyone really but what I am most interested to know is what Arsene will do with Abou Diaby. Will he play out wide with Walcott rested? Or will he take the gamble of leaving Cesc out? I have not got a clue.
Mean Lean Predicted Line up

That was bloody tricky. First of all I would like to point out that I am trying to read the thoughts of the manager these are not my own choices exactly. I left Djourou out of the squad because there were players in front of him in Arsene’s eyes. You cannot have Toure, Song and Djourou on the bench because they can all play the same positions apart from Song at right back of course. I dropped Nasri to the bench because I would imagine that Arsene would like to rest his knee as he has had problems with it in the past few weeks.
I’ll tell you what though, when Eduardo and Rosicky (don’t laugh at me!) are fit, the boss will have one hell of a choice to make each week in regards to the squad and bench. I suspect that Ramsey will not be included as much, but hey we have a long way to for that.
Mean Lean Prediction
West Ham 1 Arsenal 4 (Bendtner (2), Van Persie, Gallas)
My predictions have been crap so far, and to be honest, I do not expect to get that one right but I am expecting goals today. My first thought was another 5-2 but with players having an eye on Wednesday it may not quite end up like that but hopefully both teams will look to attack and create chances and if that is the case then I expect us to win, and well.
Before I go I want to say how unhappy I am about the Tottenham situation, they should have given Ramos at least to the end of the season to make sure they go down. I am gutted. I actually likeused to like Harry Redknapp, but now I am forced to hate the guy now. He will now make sensible decisions like playing his strongest sides in the Premier League, playing Bentley in the position that brought him success for Blackburn and not trying to beat Rafa’s record for the most amount of changes to a side during the course of a season. That is a shame because they will probably avoid relegation now.
Oh, and why do we always face new managers? It is always against us. I mentioned this before, can’t be arsed to find it now but believe me..I did.
Update: I did find it after all.
Newcastle Talk / Transfer Spec 04 Dec 2007
Normally there are two rules that seem to apply to us.
1) A new manager joins a club and the next game is against Arsenal.
2) Arsenal are in good form and the opposition haven’t won for 17 years, cue upset.
Unfortunatley those two situations are correct this time round, but thank the lord that it is at the Emirates and not and their shit hole.
Have a good day, and enjoy the match. Drop your view in the comments.
Until tomorrow.
