Love him or hate him, you cannot argue with the amount of times he has won the ball this season, either in the air or on the deck. Diaby gives us something from the center of midfield that we cannot get from any other single player in our squad

November has been a painful month for the Arsenal over the years, it has been a month which has often knocked us off our stride so you would be forgiven for feeling a little bit of apprehension. I say a little bit because the team is currently flying, scoring goals almost at will and for once our injury list looks pretty respectable. Denilson and Walcott should be back after the dreaded International break and only Johan Djourou will be ruled out for a large chunk of the season. After putting Koeman and his AZ Alkmaar to the sword the players should be pretty excited and confident about playing the newly promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux stadium.
Our home form has been pretty tasty thus far, haven’t dropped any points at the Emirates and have always had more than a goal advantage over the opposition in the Premier League. On the road it has been slightly more up and down which I guess you would expect as away performances are generally more difficult than home fixtures.
We will want to make an improvement on our last away match at Upton Park and if we manage to get a two goal lead, the object will be to keep it and not hand it back to them on a plate.
It is important that we continue our form and continue to pick up three points, preferably by giving them a good old spanking, if not then a Fulham style 1-0 victory will suffice. If we are to go for this Premier League trophy then pretty much all of our matches will have to be approached in this fashion. Like I said in yesterday’s My Vision, any side who have aspirations of winning the league will have to grab three points against teams like Wolves.
Our squad should remain as it was against Alkmaar, no new injuries have been reported as yet so I would expect to see a pretty similar team to the one that played on Wednesday. I guess we will see a little reshuffling, Bacary Sagna could be drafted back in to add stability, not that Eboue hasn’t shown stability, I just see Wenger calling on Sagna for most of his away matches at least. Nasri could well sit this one out even though he was fantastic on Wednesday. I can imagine that Arsene will not want to play him twice in a week to protect his leg. Although having said that if Wenger feels that Nasri is strong enough then he could keep his place and Arshavin could get a breather on the bench, either way I expect a fit and fresh Tomas Rosicky to start on the left of the attacking trio.
I feel much better going away to bruisers nowadays. Last season we went to places with Cesc and Denilson in central midfield, more often than not their skill and game understanding was good enough to grab points but we had times when the opposition were physically too strong. These days we have Alex Song and Abou Diaby standing tall ahead of Gallas and Vermaelen and it must be intimidating for the opposition.
Love him or hate him, you cannot argue with the amount of times he has won the ball this season, either in the air or on the deck. Diaby gives us something from the center of midfield that we cannot get from any other single player in our squad, and that option is driving forward with the ball which can create so much space for our attacking players because it instantly takes players out of the play and will inevitably draw other players towards him.
Diaby is improving and will continue to do so. As much as many would like to see Samir Nasri in that position instead the team would undoubtedly lose height, tackling and strength in a very important part of the pitch, this is not to say that Nasri couldn’t play in that position, it would probably just be against less physical and more negative teams.
Mean Lean’s Predicted Line Up

Eduardo Da Silva could be an option for Arsene if he thinks that Van Persie is in need of a sit out but I just do not see that whilst Robin is in such good form. Whichever combination plays it shouldn’t weaken us too much, as the squad should all be in confident mood right now.
Mean Lean’s Match Prediction
Wolves 1 Arsenal 3 (Vermaelen, Rosicky, Van Persie [pen])
Wolves have only won once at home so far this season and that was a 2-1 victory over Fulham so even though they have been relatively tight defensively at home I do not see them being able to shut out an Arsenal team that has scored in every Premier League game so far. We are yet to be awarded a penalty in the Premier League in season 2009/2010 so surely the law of averages suggest that one is close. Thomas Vermaelen hasn’t scored in 5 games, which just isn’t good enough is it. There is no point flirting at the beginning of the season and then stop scoring so I predict that he pulls his finger out tomorrow afternoon. This is of course tongue in cheek of course.
Come on you Gunners!
