Could it be that the players dont have the mental strenght or that they are just too tired to fight for the title? I personally think it is the lack of depth in the Arsenal squad. Man Utd and Chelsea have a better second string than us? When Man Utd field Anderson or Carrick, Chelsea field Essien or Mikel, Arsenal field Gilberto or Denilson, spot the difference?

Arsenal have a better squad on a technical level but exprience wise, they are far behind.Fletcher has won the league, Mikel also but what has Denilson won? Arsenal have done incredible well to get this far but as Arsenal fans can we go another season trophyless? If that happens then I guess Wenger really has to consider buying a world-class forward not a 10-15 game world class in the name of Adebayor! How would we love Torres in our line-up but instead now Toure has to be on his toes not to let him out of his sight! Gallas seems to be the kind of leader who will be with you when times are good but when they are bad he the first one to the centre of the field leaving his teammates to battle it out hoping against hope for a rebound.

Now is the moment of truth, beating Chelsea and cancelling out their long unbeaten home record will be the first step. If that fails to happen then we could effectively kiss our title goodbye. Focus would turn to the Champions League which in truth feels like the F.A. Cup that was supposed to be.

The difference with Adebayor and Ronaldo is Ade needs a million chances and he might convert one while Ronaldo may need a million chances but he will convert one of them. In Arsene we trust, but if this is another one of those seasons then surely a player like Benzema would be helpful instead of another season with the miss and hit Adebayor.

Flamini may well be on his way due to another one of Wenger’s policies of not earning more than 50,000. Only Cesc and Gallas are earning more than that and Flamini is just as important as any of them maybe even more so I dont see why we should loose him. And if we do, it would be interesting to see who replaces him just as long as it isn’t Gilberto.
