Leeds United (a) Thoughts & Predictions: Squad sharpness key to tonight’s performance

Alex Song could take a couple of steps back to partner Koscielny or Ignasi Miquel could be drafted in to make his senior debut, unless Sebastien Squillaci has made a miraculous recovery then it looks as if that is Arsene's only real possibilities, unless larger re-jigs were on the managers mind which would only be used in emergency

Defender now a must, Clichy’s improvement & Wenger’s rotation dilemma

Gooners have been wondering if our target will be a stop gap or a first choicer. The usual names have been bandied about. Upson, Cahill etc etc. In my opinion I believe that Arsene already has in mind what his ideal partnership will be and I think that Laurent Koscielny is a long term project for Arsene. His style is important to the way we play and given the amount of games he has played, especially important matches, I do not see Arsene buying a player who will come in over him for the longer term

West Ham (a) Post Match Thoughts: Theo Van Nasrigas prove to be a Bridge too far

Wenger spoke about Jack's ability to play passes through the lines and find the likes of Cesc and that was evident last night. Nasri, Cesc and Van Persie were being found with diagonal passes into feet from Wilshere time and time again. Wilshere also makes so much space for himself by letting the ball run across his body and then almost glides through a sandwich of opposition midfielders before finding a

Ipswich (a) Post Match Thoughts: Gunners suffer in Suffolk

As poor as it was I am not overly concerned about this isolated result as we are more than capable of turning it around at the Emirates, my big worry is that the team that swarmed over Chelsea and carved apart Birmingham City have lost their momentum, lost that spark and fluidity in the final third

Ipswich Town (a) Thoughts & Predictions: A big night for Andrey Arshavin

I would personally like to see Rosicky and Arshavin switch positions in this game and start Rosicky as an left attacker, giving our full back a greater level of protection and also harder pressing in the final third of the pitch whilst allowing Arshavin the freedom of the center to pick his through passes and striking

Backward fans, Reserves & Wenger award

I really take my hat off to Lukasz Fabianski this season. I think silence from Arsenal supporters is perhaps massive praise in itself. The January transfer window is here, Almunia is set to depart the club yet hardly a whisper of a new goalkeeper is in sight. It is a testament to how much he has improved as a keeper. Perhaps he hasn't actually improved at all, maybe he has found himself a run of games to iron out those flaws and build confidence. It is the reason why Wenger has stood by him and why Wenger has always believed in him.

Would it be a Hazard to sign Cahill or Sol?, Henry returns & Arshavin

The situation is as follows. We have four center backs. Two are new players and are unlikely to be sold after their first season at the club, the other is the best center back at the club but is injured, the other is soon to be the best center back at the club, Johan Djourou. Can you add a fifth center back? What are you going to do with a Gary Cahill when everyone is fit?

Leeds United (h) Post Match Thoughts: Disjointed Gunners snatch draw

Andrey Arshavin had a typical Arshavin game, frustrating with sloppy passes going astray, inconsistent with his work back to help his full back, tracking back in the beginning and then

Leeds United (h) Thoughts & Predictions: Ramsey back in what could be a goal-fest

I wouldn't be surprised to see a high scoring game at the Emirates later this afternoon. Leeds United will come and play football I believe and they will look to take advantage of a mixed team, hopefully we will have enough quality to score more than they do, even if our first half football

Manchester City (h) Post Match Thoughts: Frustration but confirmation of our quality

Alex Song was absolutely world class in the middle of midfield. Alex Song has often been dismissed as not good enough and the calls for 'the Yaya Toure's of this world' have often reverberated around the
