Manchester City (h) Thoughts & Predictions: Patience and team work could be key tonight

I imagine that Koscielny will be detailed to stop Tevez once in possession, leaving Johan Djourou as the spare man. It should be a good battle as both players are very tenacious and give everything they have. If Koscielny can handle Tevez then Manchester City's attacking threat will be greatly reduced

Bergkamp’s path begins, Rambo return & Remembering Frimpong

We are so involved in the season and all the drama that goes with it, that it is quite difficult to remember how impressive he was in those games. Physically imposing, a fantastic strong tackler and powerful engine. I have no doubt that had he stayed at the club as apposed to being farmed out on loan then he could have made quite an impact on the Carling Cup and FA Cup games at least. He could have turned into a very able deputy to Alex Song in the first team, especially alongside his buddy Jack

Hleb, Vela, Cahill, Transfer window & Djourou song

Carlos Vela is being chased by Bolton's Owen Coyle for a loan move and that would be a fantastic solution for everyone. We saw how much it helped Jack Wilshere and if it can have a similar effect on Vela then he will be pushing for a place in the team next season. However he does not produce or develop on loan then he may have to seek pastures new. Whenever I think of Bolton I cannot help but think of the dirty, lump it long side under Samantha Allardyce. The Bolton of today play some very nice football at times. I think Vela would work very well with the likes of Lee, Petrov, Taylor, Elmander etc I think many of the Gooner faithful have been a little harsh on Vela. I see a very talented (slightly one sided player) who is still learning his game but more importantly hasn't really had a run of games

Birmingham City (a) Post Match Thoughts: Has Arsene found his first 11? & Johnson tackle

Roger Johnson's follow through is far more dangerous and should be the talking point today. In a day where the pre match talk is often about which soft players are wearing snoods and gloves, sadly I do

Birmingham City (a) Thoughts & Predictions: Points needed to keep up with lucky Mancs

I am interested to know what Wenger will do with Jack Wilshere, he was being saved for this game but had to be introduced early at Wigan due to Diaby's injury. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see

Wigan (a) Thoughts & Predictions: Different players but the same effort please

I would like to see Arshavin playing in a more central attacking role as he did against Aston Villa earlier in the season when he switched with Rosicky but I am not sure if he is trusted to help the two central

Chelsea (h) Post Match Thoughts: Balance found for mature Gunners

Cesc's return pass to Theo was executed by the king of assists, a player who has mastered the art of finding team mates in small spaces. A delicate chip, with backspin in between Ivanovic and into

Chelsea (h) Thoughts & Predictions: The time to beat Chelsea has to be now

If Abou Diaby plays I expect much of the responsibility to fall on his shoulders to pull the Chelsea defence around with his driving bursts and bits of individual skill to make openings for Nasri, Van Persie and whoever else is trying to make a few yards of space in the penalty area

Merry Christmas Visionaries & Picture special

Merry Christmas to all Gooners out there to those who celebrate and to those who don't I hope you are hopefully enjoying a few days off to recuperate before the new year. I am off to the in-laws today so there will be no normal blog as I have plenty of eating and drinking to do and as we all know time is very much of the essence, I am sure you understand. I would like to take the time to thank all the Gooners out there, especially the Visionaries who regularly read and comment on my ramblings.

Transfer rumour pain, Wilshere & Chelsea thoughts

Newsnow has always been my trusty news source, you used to be able to find a good array of articles, stories or even some really good tactical ramblings. You would get the odd article that was begging for a click. 'Arsenal set to tie up record mega deal super smash' that would have the 12 year olds fighting over themselves to click through and pretend that it could actually be real. I've been there myself
