William Gallas is missing tonight with a lingering ankle injury that Wenger wants to rest. He has been a little giant of late, instead of a little grump as the media have tried to portray for most of the season thus far
I wrote a couple of months back following the Villa abortion whether it was time we, as Arsenal fans need to ask questions of Le prof, of his methods and of his policies if we are to stop going backwards as a team (something even the most staunch of gooners cannot deny at this point in time)
There’s still time for us to click into some form but, if we can’t score against West Ham, Sunderland, Spurs and Fulham, who can we score against? West Brom have conceded the most goals in the league this season and I’m not entirely confident we can put one past them either
Robin Van Persie has missed many chances in the last 3 games or so and we know he should have done better but we have to remember that he is playing as the number 9 at the moment
The players seem scarred. I'm hoping to tap into the reader's memory. Do you know any team that has been held to the fire, from fans, from the media, from within, for as long as this team has. Every result since October has been annouced to signal the death of this team
We are missing Theo Walcott and Eduardo who will come short and spin in behind the defender, Arshavin's repertoire of passes will unlock many doors
His international goal scoring record for Denmark currently reads 9 goals in 28 games, which when you consider that he’s only 21, it’s pretty impressive. So he definitely has the potential to be an international class player
Arshavin will come back into the side after sitting out on Tuesday, hopefully looking a bit fitter than he did against Sunderland. The team won’t be too different from the one that failed to score against Sunderland last weekend
I was feeling rather disappointed that Abou Diaby was ruled out of the game but he has made a miraculous recovery, and continues with his place in the squad. It should mean that he will continue alongside Denilson in the middle of midfield. That partnership did so well against the Roma midfield
It is down to Wenger to find the right balance between being defensive enough to stop the opposition scoring goals but equally it is at least important to have enough creative attack flair in your side
