Arsene Wenger has been given a big juicy phat transfer fund to not spend on expensive players. Who knows, he may be looking at targets in January
To cap off a good day, Liverpool were held by Birmingham thereby allowing us to stretch our lead at the top. By all accounts it was the kind of frustrating home game we had to contend with last season. As I write this, the eagerly anticipated showdown between Man Utd and Chelsea
I'm not quite sure if I want Chelsea to be more entertaining. I like the fact that I can call them dull bastards, right now.
In the Premiership, we've faced Derby twelve times, winning eight, drawing three and losing one, 3-0 away in Wenger's first full season. The last time we met them was March 2002, a 1-0 home win with Pires scoring the winner.
We already are lacking defenders so if there is a chance for Senderos to play, then he will. Unless he plays Gilberto back there again
Have we ever played better football under Arsene? We have probably been more dangerous with better players but as a team, have we moved the ball around so fluently and slickly? Its an interesting point.
Top Gun? I can’t look past the maestro that is Cesc Fabregas. He orchestrated/conducted/pulled all the strings in this performance, and show no lack of bite in defence either. With his ever increasing ability to get goals and the improvement of his physical stature
Arsene has to decided if he should restore Gilberto back to his holding midfield role and play Senderos alongside Toure. But it is possible that he will not change a winning team and continue with Flamini alongside Fabregas.
Is it me or is it now quite clear that Gael Clichy is head and shoulders above Ashley Cole? Watching him last night made me see that we are really not missing him in the slightest.
It will be such a horrible shame to see all the hard work of the current board to make us one of the wealthiest clubs in the world go to waste and be stolen by 'investment'
