Giroud: Thierry Henry’s Worthy Successor?

There is no doubt that Giroud is an impressive player but there are a few arguments that have been brought forward about whether he can fill the big shoes left by Thierry Henry. Although the French striker has had some great moments and achievements, the consistency in his form is questionable. It seems as though some days he is on fire and others he doesn’t reach the level we all know he is capable of. Maybe it’s just because the fans are just used to Henry never letting his form slip and that gives a harsh measuring stick to use on Giroud.

Thierry Henry will always be one of Arsenals most loved players. He was always ready to perform at his best and this is why he was able to secure the title of Arsenal’s all-time record goal scorer. His consistency meant fellow players could always count on him and fans were always in for a great match.
After Henry made the difficult decision to leave Arsenal, they were left to find a replacement. Arsene Wenger moved on Olivier Giroud to fill Henry’s space. However there has been some debate about whether the French footballer can carry on in Henry’s footsteps.

Olivier Giroud has established a pretty good name for himself so far. He claimed the title of top scorer in 2012 scoring an impressive 21 goals for the season in his former club Montpellier HSC. Arsenal picked him up from there and he continued on to be one of the main contributors to the gunners winning the FA Cup in 2014 and 2015. We can also add that he is one in only seven to ever score 50 premiere league goals for Arsenal to his list of impressive achievements.
Taking all into account, it does seem that Olivier Giroud has the potential to make a worthy replacement for Henry. If the only flaw that can be found is that he has a few bad days then it is one that can be polished and eventually be removed. Arsene Wenger’s decision still stands as a good one. There are not many players that can match Henry but Giroud has a better chance than most. All in all, Arsenal has good shot in taking home another title and backing them might be worth the try, especially if you secure your bet using a bonus code. As always, they are a team that everyone should be watching out for.
